The sun is beginning to shine here in the City of Long Beach, and this means we can give a warm welcome to the Spring and Summer seasons. Not only do we get to celebrate the first day of Spring on March 20th, we ‘spring ahead’ on March 12th, just in time to celebrate St. Paddy’s Day on the 17th! Struggling to stay awake from Daylight Savings Time change? We’ve chosen some top locations in Long Beach for you to lift your spirit this St. Patrick’s Day!
At Hotel Current, we all become a bit Irish on March 17th, and it certainly is fitting with our neighbors. Within walking distance from our hotel, we have The Red Leprechaun, which has great traditional Irish fare. Not only do they serve traditional lunch and dinners, they have a mouth-watering breakfasts! From “Red’s Big Corned Beef Hash”, to their famous “French Toast-Bread Pudding”, this is a breakfast you don’t want to miss.
If you wish to venture a bit further out of Hotel Current, we have Gallagher’s, which celebrates “St. Patrick’s Day – American Wake.” This event starts at 12:15pm, on March 17th, and goes ’til the Guinness Runs Dry!’ Gallagher’s was opened by Irish immigrant and third-generation restauranteur, Ciaran Gallagher back in 2006, and on St. Patricks’s Day, they start serving traditional Irish meals beginning at 9am.
