December 18, 2018
Category: Long Beach Attractions

If you’re planning a stay in Long Beach and want to experience some of the local food and fare, then we have something special for you.

The famous 4th street in Long Beach is home to restaurants, art galleries, vintage clothing and furniture stores, street art, performers and much more! It is the heart and soul of the Long Beach art community, and offers an experience unlike any other.

Shoppers looking to buy vintage clothes, furniture and other memorabilia from the 50s to the 70s will enjoy the many shops that span more than two-blocks. If you are looking for a gift or knick-knack, this is the place to find something unique!

Restaurants from all Nations
From Vietnamese and Peruvian cuisine to Cocktail Lounges and Coffee houses, all cultures come together at one location. Whatever flavors you fancy, you will find them along the 4th Street Retro Row. Around every corner you will discover another hidden gem that keeps you coming back time and again.

The Art Theatre Long Beach

More than just another theatre, the Art Theatre is a historic part of Long Beach arts culture. Originally opened in 1925 as a single screen silent movie house, (complete with an orchestra pit, and pipe organ). In 2008, the theatre was completely remodeled it based on the 1933 blueprints. Today ‘The Art’ screens both first run and small independent films in a beautiful historic setting.

Cool and Convenient
Retro Row is a 25-minute walk from the Long Beach Convention Centre, and only a 25 minute walk from downtown at Pine Avenue. The 22 bus is 12 minutes from The Long Beach Convention Centre, or a $6-$8 taxi or Uber ride away from the waterfront.

Best of all, it is just minutes away from Hotel Current, a great place for art lovers to stay in Long Beach. Hotel Current boasts hand-painted acrylic art in each room and throughout the entire hotel.
