The 5 Best Brunch Spots in Long Beach

March 30, 2020
Category: Things to do in Long Beach

Long Beach is home to some of the tastiest restaurants in Orange County. But when it comes to brunch, there are far fewer places that take the cake.

If you’re like us, we love brunch. Being able to still eat breakfast essentially during lunchtime is a luxury itself. The word brunch actually means that. It’s a combination of the words breakfast and lunch.

Fewer things are better on the weekend than eating waffles and pancakes and sipping on a refreshing mimosa. It’s the meal that helps define the rest of your day. If that means taking a long nap afterward, then that’s fine with us too.

While there is an endless number of tasty spots to grab some food at, included here are five of our favorite brunch spots around the city.

Let’s dive in.

Address: 70 Atlantic Ave, Long Beach, CA 90802

Phone: (562) 726-1700

This family-owned establishment is one of the most popular brunch spots in the city. While known for their great food, they’re also known for their stellar service. The owners are usually out and about greeting guests and making sure that everyone is having a great time.

The dishes that come out of the kitchen are all inspired by family recipes. Included at the Breakfast Bar is a bar itself with some amazing mixed drinks that hit the spot every time.

Some of their popular entrees include Eggs Noni, Eggs Papi, Naked Cakes, and their Love-Lee Chicken and Waffle Sticks.

If you end up choosing the Breakfast Bar for your afternoon brunch, you won’t be disappointed.

The Potholder Café is one of those brunch spots that you remember each time you go. The friendly ambiance mixed with a large variety of food choices makes for an easy option when needing your brunch fix.

They are known as the ‘King’ of Long Beach when it comes to breakfast because they serve it all day, including an all-day bottomless mimosa brunch on weekends. There are four amazing locations, three in Long Beach and one in Los Alamitos.

Some of their prized dishes include Breakfast Enchiladas, Chicken Fried Steak, giant omelets and breakfast bowls.

Choosing the Potholder Café for your next brunch spot is a great decision that we can get behind.

Schooner or Later, if you didn’t notice, is a play on words. But sooner or later, ending up at this popular brunch spot one weekend almost seems inevitable. Pun intended.

This establishment was featured on Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, and for good reason. The amount of you get with your order and how good it is, is impressive. So make sure to come hungry. Their signature creation The Mess, is a breakfast scramble filled with eggs, veggies, ham, cheese, chili, and more. You’ll need a napkin or two for this one.

Schooner or later serves alcohol in pints or in schooners, as the name properly implies. Some of their other popular dishes include Crab & Avocado Benedict, Crab Melt, and the Turkey Club Melt.

Make sure you visit here to satisfy your craving for some amazing brunch and some stellar views of the harbor!

If you were to judge a brunch spot purely based on pictures without even trying the food first, then The Attic would reign supreme.

The Attic is a popular restaurant that serves incredible cajun and creole inspired dishes.

While they serve popular fishes that include Creme Brulee French Toast, jambalaya, shrimp and grits, and mac and cheese with short rib, they’re best known for their Hot Cheetos Mac and Cheese. Google this restaurant and you’ll know what we’re talking about.
